Job Description:

• Project Manager ensures that projects are met with the most efficient use of time, machinery, and materials.
• Develop one off & repeat projects, prioritize workload and clients.
• Works very close with the Production Manager, Shop Supervisors, Purchasing and managers of various departments.

Must Haves:

• Prior project manager experience required and the Project Manager can come from a variety of backgrounds such as: manufacturing, construction, and/or commercial background in areas such as grocery, hospitals, commercial and/or residential work.
• 5+ years of Professional Experience
• Knowledge of the woodworking field, commercial casework, and estimating is preferred
• High School diploma required; college degree or technical school degree strongly preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of production process & quality control.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft office and other relevant computer software applications (ERP/Other)/ This candidate needs to know the process. It is not a deal breaker but is preferred.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent leadership skills

Core responsibilities:

• Oversees 1 account or more, and works on a team with 4-5 other Project Managers
• Authorizes prototype or first article utilizing drawings or blueprints (confirms w/ customer, or Sales)

Project Manager flows through from design to job completion and customer satisfaction. If problems arise after shipment, the customer is to be serviced immediately.

• Plan and prepare engineering masters to ensure that products are made efficiently and timely.
• Monitor status of work in process (WIP)
• Identify problems and take corrective action
• Determine what tools, materials and equipment will be used.
• Verify that enough material is on hand and where and when it is needed to meet production schedules.
• Interface with sales, production, estimating, drafting, purchasing in case of design change, labor and material shortage, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
• Account for any delays, difficulties, and changes in original cost estimates.
• Help develop new programs to improve the production control system.
• Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as your Manager may assign.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Work 40 hours or more a week.
• Offices have adequate light and ventilation; offices are heated or air-conditioned.
• Wear protective equipment for ear, eye and skin when in the production area.
• May be seating for long periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
